Hand-Dyed Mini Yarn Skein: Zinnia Patch

Zinnia Patch is a variegated pink streaked with shades of gold and beige and speckled with magenta, black, midnight blue, deep orange, and bright yellow.

I've dyed it on a base of Briggs & Little Sport, a single ply, 100% wool yarn from Canada's oldest woolen mill, Briggs & Little. The hundred-and-fifty-year-old mill still washes wool with water from the Magaguadavic River and spins it into this rustic, toothy, minimally processed yarn. A bit rough, this yarn takes on color beautifully and knits into light, lofty, if somewhat scratchy pieces.

After dyeing, I rinse all yarns in cool water then soak them with Eucalan wool wash.

This is non-superwash yarn. Please hand-wash in cool water and lay flat to dry.
