Hand-Embroidered Pendant: Bog Star 1
Bog Star. Parnassia palustris. Also called Marsh Grass of Parnassus. The name comes from Ancient Greek. It's the county flower of Cumberland, England. It blooms between July and October in moorlands and marshes. It's flowers have a honey scent and attract pollinators. It was once used in herbal medicine.
Hand-embroidered with hand-dyed embroidery floss on black Kona cotton and mounted on a 40x50mm (1.6"x2.0") nickel-free, lead-free brass pendant tray in antique bronze. Antique bronze metal chain is 22" (561cm) long with a 12mm lobster clasp.
