I love to take pictures. Since August of 2011 I've
been using a Canon EOS 60D with an EF 18-200mm kit lens
and an EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens. Previous to that (and
for both of my books, which I photographed myself) I
used a FujiFinepix S9100. And before that I used a Canon
Powershot A80.
I usually shoot in aperture-priority mode at a fairly
low f/stop (open aperture), using only natural light.
Almost all of my photos are shot at an ISO of 640, and
I don't usually use a tripod anymore (because I'm lazy).
I use Photoshop 7.0 to crop, resize, sharpen, and color-correct
all of the photos I post on my web sites and blog. I
am pretty much self-taught in photography, graphic design,
and web development — I read whatever I can stand
to, but mostly I just experiment, and rely on friends
and relatives who will forgive me for asking. I don't
know a lot about the technical aspects of the camera.
But I use my camera every single day, and have learned
a lot in spite of myself.
